Jean Hilderman
Jane (she/her) is an entrepreneurial, cross-sector nonprofit leader with a track record of social impact. She currently provides fractional support to foundations and start-up nonprofits for short-term, strategic initiatives as an independent consultant, and volunteers her time as board member and soccer coach.
Prior to consulting, Jane served several nonprofits—most recently as Vice President of Public Affairs and Partnerships at Blueprint, promoting better data use by nonprofits and government to drive stronger outcomes for Canadians. Jane stood up ClimateWest, a new nonprofit focused on resilience across Prairie industries as well as rural and urban communities facing the impacts of climate change. Her career also includes leading a national think tank, the Samara Centre for Democracy, where she championed more responsive and inclusive Canadian politics.
Jane holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Toronto. After living in Toronto, Ottawa and Winnipeg, she has made Edmonton home—returning to her Alberta roots. She grew up on a family farm outside Camrose, which her young family loves to visit.
